Our Outstanding School Psychologist!

From the 12/11/14 WUSD Board of Education meeting:

Juanita Aguirre-Patterson, a school psychologist with the Washington Unified School District, recently received the Nadine M. Lambert Outstanding School Psychologist Award for her contributions to the profession by the California Association of School Psychologists (CASP) at its annual convention in San Diego.

As a Lead Psychologist for the district for nearly 20 years, Patterson is described by colleagues as honest, empathetic, and a person of the highest integrity, the Outstanding School Psychologist awardee continues to create and maintain positive connections with those she works with, including building rapport with students and their families.

The school district’s staff regards Patterson as one of its invaluable members, as her attention to detail and years of experience generate meaningful plans for the success of students, families, and schools. Patterson has also developed all-girls groups that over the past several years has helped young girls in the district develop good friendship and social skills.

The Nadine M. Lambert Outstanding School Psychologist Award recognizes the contributions school psychologists have made to the schools, students and profession, and is awarded on a regional basis. Patterson was recognized as the Outstanding School Psychologist for the Sacramento Valley region.

Congratulations to Juanita for receiving this distinguished honor! Riverbank staff, students, and families have been blessed by her service.
