The Riverbank School Community works collaboratively to deliver a focused, research and standards-based program to educate and develop empowered, motivated, responsible and respectful learners who master grade level standards. Go Otters!
All incoming 9th grade students are invited to sign up for the River City High School (RCHS) Summer Bridge Program 2019.
Summer bridge programs are designed to ease the transition to high school and support a student’s educational journey by providing the academic skills and social resources needed to succeed in a high school environment.
Spaces are limited so don’t let this exciting opportunity pass by. Please sign and return the application form to your child’s teacher or the district office by April 1, 2019.
Application forms are available in English, Spanish, and Russian.

After School Child Care Services SurveyAt the February 14, 2019 regularly scheduled Board of Education Meeting, the Washington Unified School District Board of Trustees discussed and received information regarding after school child care services. The Board of Trustees is now seeking additional input from our community on this topic.

The New Year kicks off a new enrollment cycle for the kindergarten and transitional kindergarten in West Sacramento’s premier school district.
Birth Date Cut Off for Transitional Kindergarten Your child is eligible for Transitional Kindergarten if his/her 5th birthday falls on or between Sept. 2, 2019 and Dec. 2, 2019.

PIQE is back! Parent Institute for Quality Education
It's not to late to sign up and be a part of this year's amazing parent engagement workshops as our school district partners with the Parent Institute for Quality Engagement (PIQE) in 2019.
PIQE is hosting a series of parent workshops at Westmore Oaks Elementary School Library designed to educate, empower, and transform parents with strategies to more actively engage in their children’s education and strengthen parent-school collaboration in order to improve the academic success of students.
Throughout this multi-week workshop, PIQE’s signature program fulfills its goal of educating, empowering, and inspiring parents of K–12 school age children to take an active role in encouraging and enabling their children to: Stay in school; Improve their academic performance; Develop healthy and constructive relationships with parents, teachers, and counselors; and, prepare themselves for a future college and career.
