Get Flood Prepared
Riverbank Elementary will participate in a news conference as part of 2016 California Flood Preparedness Week on Wednesday, October 26 at 10 a.m. and students will play the Flood Challenge computer game from West Sac Flood Protect to learn about the importance of flood preparedness.
Plan for a flood emergency. This includes evacuation routes, lists of important phone numbers and other details about how your family is prepared for a flood.
Pack items that your family should have in your emergency preparedness kit.
Protect your home and everything in it with flood insurance.
Learn how you can be prepared for a flood and find resources at West Sac Flood Protect.

Congratulations to our Volleyball Team for making it to the Playoffs! The Playoff games will be held at Riverbank at 4pm and 5pm on Monday, October 24th.
Our very own Riverbank Elementary School will participate in a news conference as part of 2016 California Flood Preparedness Week on Wednesday, October 26 at 10 a.m.
Students will play West Sac Flood Protect’s fun and interactive Flood Challenge computer game educating them to Plan. Pack. and Protect. in case of a flood event. When each student completes the game, they sign a pledge to Plan. Pack. and Protect. The certificate is printed out for them to take home to their family and parents to talk about the importance of flood protection. Click on the link below to continue reading!
Red Ribbon Week
The dress themes for the week are as follows:
K-5th graders- tie a red ribbon to the fence in support of Red Ribbon Week and get a Red Ribbon Week sticker.
6-8 graders -Sign the drug free pledge at lunch to be drug free to receive the Red Ribbon Week sticker.
Poster and Door Contest
There will also be a poster contest and door contest. The poster contest is for students in grades 6-8 and the theme is “Natural High.” There will also be a door contest with 1st, 2nd and 3rd place prizes for K-5.
