Welcome to Riverbank Elementary School

Employee Recognition Night

wusd-news.pngThree of our employees were semifinalist in the competition for Wshington Unified School District Employee of the Year.  Judi Moreno was nominated for support staff of the year,  Ruth Clayton was nominated for classified staff of the year, and Matthew Gariss was nominated for secondary teacher of the year.  Congratulations to our staff who made it to the semifinalist round.  There will a recognition and celebration at Raley Field on Tuesday, April 29th.  Gates open at 6:05.  See the flyer by clicking here.

Kindergarten Registration

Kindergarten Registration Starts

Saturday, February 22nd, 9:00-12:00

To register for kindergarten: a child’s 5th birthday must occur on or before September 1st, 2014

To register for Transitional Kindergarten (TK) Program:  a child’s 5th birthday must occur on or after September 2nd and before December 2nd, 2014.

Combating Bullying at Riverbank

What is Bullying?

  • It is a specific type of aggression
  • Can be verbal, physical, or psychological
  • The behavior is intended to harm or disturb
  • It is carried out repeatedly and over time
  • There is an imbalance of power, either physical or psychological

What are We Doing?

  • We take every report of bullying seriously
  • We interview students and conduct an investigation
  • If the bullying report is founded we submit a formal report to our district office as directed by AB 9
  • Students involved will receive consequences based on our progressive discipline policy
