Kind Acts Make a Difference!
Compassion and kindness were demonstrated by a student from Bridgeway Island Elementary School, Anna Grexton. She heard about our playground fire last year and decided to do something about it. She chose Riverbank Elementary School as her National Junior Honor Society service project. She decided to raise money for our school by selling ice cream after school at Bridgeway. Despite obstacles she encountered, she persevered, and on September 18th, she delivered a check for $100 to Mr. Woodcock to be used for playground equipment. The students and staff at Riverbank send out a big Thank You to Anna and the students at Bridgeway Island who supported her efforts. This is just another example of the wonderful students we have in Washington Unified School District who make a difference.
Be on the lookout for the Jedi Otter at lunchtime. Have fun reading!
